Developmental Disabilities and Sexuality

Presented by Leah Janke & Denise Gehringer

If you’re like many parents of a child with developmental disabilities, you know sexuality issues need to be addressed, but you may not have the knowledge, skills and confidence to do so. Don’t worry, we’ve got your back!

This presentation covers approaches to discussing sexuality and responding to behaviors. You’ll come away feeling more skillful, comfortable and confident when discussing sexuality with your child.

The Down Syndrome Education Series (DSES) is a monthly educational seminar for families of children with Down syndrome, designed to connect parents with information that will positively impact the education and well-being of their child.
