After careful consideration, DSA has made the difficult decision to cancel our World Down Syndrome Day Party due to risks associated with the COVID-19 virus.

Our decision was not taken lightly. It was made after closely monitoring updates and recommendations from the NE Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and after conferring with DSA leadership, including our Board executive committee and other leadership teams in Omaha.

Ultimately, our top priority, at all DSA events and gatherings, is our members' and participants' health and safety. In an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19 to event staff, participants, and the community we are following CDC recommendations to postpone our large community gathering.

We truly appreciate your support and understanding as we respond to this public health crisis that is emerging. The safety and well-being our of our members is our #1 priority.
