Dr. Keller is a board-certified neurologist in private practice with Neurology Associates of South Jersey, specializing in the evaluation and care of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He is a Past President of the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry (AADMD) and the past-chair of the Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Section of the American Academy of Neurology. He is a co-author on a number of articles and book chapters relating to aging and dementia in adults with intellectual disability.

Adults with Down syndrome are living longer than ever, and families often have questions about aging, wellness, and Alzheimer’s disease risk. This webinar focuses on what we can do now—everyday, practical steps that support brain health, function, and quality of life. We’ll review the “big rocks” of health promotion (sleep, activity, nutrition, hearing/vision, mental health, social connection, and managing medical conditions), how to notice meaningful changes over time, and how to distinguish Alzheimer’s-related changes from other treatable issues. We’ll also highlight ongoing research and prevention trials designed specifically for adults with Down syndrome and how families can learn about opportunities to participate.
