Down Syndrome Education Series - Toilet Training

The Down Syndrome Education Series (DSES) is a monthly educational seminar for families of children with Down syndrome, designed to connect parents with information that will positively impact the education and well-being of their child.

Topic - Toilet Training Your Child with Down Syndrome

Speaker - William J. Warzak, Ph.D., BCBA-D, is a licensed psychologist and Professor in the Department of Psychology at the Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics and Rehabilitation/Department of Pediatrics, University of Nebraska Medical Center. He received his Masters degree (M.S.) in Clinical Psychology from Marquette University and completed his Doctoral degree (PhD) in Clinical Psychology, with a specialization in Behavior Therapy, from Georgia State University, an APA approved training program. He completed an APA approved Clinical Psychology internship through the Brown University Program in Medicine and completed a post-doctoral Fellowship at JFK Institute (now, Kennedy-Krieger Institute), Johns Hopkins University. His research and clinical interests include behavioral parent training, concussion and traumatic brain injury, elimination disorders, and the management of everyday childhood behavior problems. He has published over 50 scientific papers and chapters on interventions with children with behavioral health concerns and served as reviewer for over a dozen peer reviewed journals.
