The Down Syndrome Education Series (DSES) is a monthly educational seminar for families of children with Down syndrome, designed to connect parents with information that will positively impact the education and well-being of their child.

Description: Teachers want great outcomes for the children they teach. But what about students with disabilities? When we recognize that disability is a natural part of life, focus on a child’s strengths and abilities, and provide the appropriate supports and accommodations, students with disabilities can also achieve great outcomes! The recipe for success? A little common sense and some new ways of thinking—let’s do this!

Bio - Kathie Snow has presented hundreds of keynotes and in-depth workshops at conferences from coast-to-coast, for parents of children with disabilities, adults with disabilities, service providers, educators, and other professionals. In addition, she provides consultation for disability organizations, human service agencies, and educators, has coordinated conferences, and has developed training curricula. Kathie is the author of "Disability is Natural: Revolutionary Common Sense for Raising Successful Children with Disabilities" and the widely used publication "People First Language".
