Session 1
Tuesday evenings from June 4 - July 16, with no class on July 2

Thanks to a generous grant from the Meyer Foundation for Disabilities, DSA is pleased to partner with Blade & Edge to offer a Learn to Skate class for teens with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The lessons will follow the Special Olympics Figure Skating Badge Program with students expected to earn 1 - 2 badges per session. Instructor to student ratio is 1:4. A buddy from the skate club will be assigned to each student. Each session will consist of 6 lessons.

The registration fee for the 6-week session is $15.00, payable at the first class. Scholarship applications are available for any family unable to pay the registration fee.

Skaters will be required to wear a helmet for the duration of each lesson. The helmet will be provided by DSA.

Two additional 6-week sessions will be scheduled this year for students to continue to earn badges or for new students to join.

See link below for information on the Special Olympics Badge Program.
