 he Global Guideline covers 9 topic areas deemed critically important for t
 he health and well-being of adults with Down syndrome\, resulting in 14 re
 commendation statements and 4 statements of good practice. This presentati
 on will cover the guideline creation process\, tips for ways families can 
 follow the recommendations\, and the patient toolkits created to accompany
  the guidelines. We will discuss how families can access the guidelines an
 d how/why they may differ from standard care. We will also outline the fut
 ure research needed to build upon the existing evidence base and map out a
  plan for what will be covered in the second version of the Global Guideli
 ne\, expected over the next 5 years.\n\n
