  of Division of Developmental Disabilities (DD) at the Nebraska Department
  of Health and Human Services (DHHS).\nThe Down Syndrome Education Series 
 (DSES) is a monthly educational seminar for families of children with Down
  syndrome\, designed to connect parents with information that will positiv
 ely impact the education and well-being of their child.\n\nSpeaker:\n\nTon
 y Green has been advocating for and supporting Nebraska’s children and fam
 ilies for over 30 years.  His early career began working as a Direct Suppo
 rt Professional while attending college.  After graduating in 1990 with hi
 s bachelor of science in Human Service Counseling\, he became a Service Co
 ordinator and Supervisor for the Division of DD with DHHS. Tony then moved
  into being a provider as the Executive Director of a non-profit agency th
 at supports people with developmental disabilities.  He served in this rol
 e for 8 years.  Tony then rejoined the State of Nebraska with DHHS.  Over 
 the last 15 years at DHHS Tony has held various Deputy Director/Interim Di
 rector roles over such programs such as: Office of Juvenile Services\, Chi
 ld/Adult Protective Services\, Child Support Enforcement and Economic Assi
 stance (SNAP\, TANF\, etc….).  Prior to his current appointment Tony was D
 eputy Director for the DD Division\, overseeing the statewide delivery of 
 community-based services and service coordination for the Medicaid Home an
 d Community Based Services Waivers for the developmentally disabled. Tony 
 Green holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State College\, where 
 he majored in human service counseling\, psychology\, and criminal justice
  and minored in sociology.  He officially became Director of DD in Nebrask
 a on August 24\, 2020.\n\nTopic:\nIn this presentation\, Mr. Green\, will 
 address DHHS news and changes that effect Nebraska families and people wit
 h an IDD. A Q&A will be available as well to address such topics as waiver
 s\, waiting lists\, and more. Please RSVP ASAP for this in-person event at
  DSA office - 10824 Old Mill Road Suite 8. Seating is limited to 35 seats 
 and some standing-space may also be available. This event may be recorded
