  has worked at PTI for 8 years where she helps parents navigate the specia
 l education process. She mainly focuses on school-aged students in element
 ary and middle school and her main focus areas include Individualized Educ
 ation Programs\, positive behavior supports\, and strengthening partnershi
 ps between parents and school professionals. Jennifer’s inspiration is her
  own high schooler who has a rare genetic disorder\, Autism\, and Epilepsy
 . With both personal and professional experience in the world of disabilit
 ies\, Jennifer enjoys supporting families and sharing knowledge with paren
 ts and professionals alike.\n\nSandra Peterson\nSandra Peterson has 40 yea
 rs of experience in the field of special education. She has been a classro
 om teacher and a special education director in both rural and urban settin
 gs. Sandra has been with PTI Nebraska supporting families across the state
  of Nebraska for 5 years and she currently focuses on transition aged stud
 ents/young adults. She presents parent and professional trainings on trans
 ition plans and self-advocacy\, focusing on helping student’s successfully
  transition to the world of adulthood.  She has dedicated her career to ch
 ildren and their educational needs\, and she enjoys sharing her knowledge 
 and experiences with families and professionals.
