 ut the DSES 'Transitions & Beyond' speakers:\n\nBrett Samson\, Chief Execu
 tive Officer and President at the Autism Center of Nebraska\, started at A
 CN in February of 2018. He has 20 years of experience working in the field
  of developmental disabilities\, mental illness and with at-risk youth. He
  began supporting people with developmental disabilities as a direct-suppo
 rt professional in the late 90s while working through college. Brett is a 
 graduate of the University of Nebraska-at Omaha and his experience in the 
 disability field is vast. He has worked in community relations\, directed 
 both vocational and residential programs\, and most recently served as an 
 area director for a program in Iowa. \n\nLeslie Bishop Hartung\, Director 
 of Quality Assurance and Staff Development at the Autism Center of Nebrask
 a\, has more than thirty years of experience in non-profit management. Pre
 vious to this position\, she served as the Executive Director of The Arc o
 f Norfolk\, Inc.\, which is an organization that advocates for the rights 
 of citizens with developmental disabilities and their families. As a famil
 y member of an individual who experiences developmental disabilities\, Les
 lie sets a high standard for quality services at ACN.\n\nRachelle 'Shelly'
  Main  is the Training Coordinator for the Parent Resource Coordinators at
  Munroe-Meyer Institute. Rachelle engages and procures incoming PRCs and p
 rovides initial and on-going training and support. Rachelle knows the Pare
 nt Resource Clinic well as she fills in as a Parent Resource Coordinator w
 hen needed. There are currently 7 Parent Resource Coordinators in various 
 clinics at MMI\, Omaha\, Lincoln\, Kearney\, and several more will be adde
 d to serve families at clinics in North Platte and Norfolk soon. Rachelle 
 stated: 'I love the role of our PRCs as they are parents of special needs 
 kiddos who help other special needs families navigate the health and servi
 ce care systems! I so wish I had had someone to help me when we started ou
 r journey!'\n\nMary McHale and her husband\, Joe Holm\, are the parents of
  Daniel Holm.  Mary has always been a planner\; hence her day job as a pro
 ject manager. When she is not working\, Mary advocates by attending disabi
 lity education sessions (like DSES) to gain more information and improve t
 he quality of Daniel’s life as well as the lives of others who have disabi
 lities. She has also served and continues to serve on boards that impact t
 he lives of individuals with disabilities.  \n\nDaniel Holm is in his last
  semester at the Omaha Public Schools Transition Program.  He has been rec
 eiving the DD waiver for day services since 2018 (even though he is not 21
 ) and is working on skills to live on his own within the next 3 years.  He
  participates in Special Olympics basketball and power lifting and is taki
 ng a break from swimming and tennis this year.  He attends recreational pr
 ograms at UNMC MMI and Ollie Webb Center\, Inc.  He is looking forward to 
 working once he is finished with the transition program with the end-goal 
 of making his own money. Nebraska Vocational Rehabilitation and a Services
  Provider are currently assisting in that process. \n\n*Registration will
