 mpact the education and well-being of individuals with Down syndrome.\n\nT
 opic - Social Boundaries Using the Circles Curriculum\n\nCircles- What is 
 it?\nâ—Ź The Circles Curriculum focuses on teaching social and relationship 
 boundaries\, interpersonal skills and relationship-specific social skills.
 \nânâ The program uses a simple multi-layer colored circle diagram to demons
 trate the different relationship levels students will encounter in daily l
 ife.\nâ—Ź Starting from the center circle\, which is self\, each new color r
 epresents behaviors\, feelings\, and actions appropriate to the distance f
 rom the center or self.\n\nThe original Circles Paradigm was conceived and
  written by Marklyn P. Champagne\, RN\, MSW and Leslie Walker-Hirsch\, IME
 d\, FAAIDD.\n\nSpeaker - Leslie Walker-Hirsch\, IMEd\, FAAIDD\nBio - Lesli
 e Walker-Hirsch is a social development and sexuality consultant and a Fel
 low of the AAIDD. She has been a driving force in promoting sexual safety\
 , rights and responsibilities for people with intellectual disability. She
  is the co-creator of the CIRCLESÂ® Curriculum Series\, a multimedia teachi
 ng tool designed especially to address the varied and unique learning styl
 es of learners with intellectual limitations and developmental delays. The
  curriculum provides information regarding social/sexual expression and se
 xual safety that their typically developing peers would be exposed to\, bu
 t in a manner that is meaningful and understandable to those with idiosync
 ratic learning styles. \nMs. Walker-Hirsch has provided training and consu
 ltation to families and professionals in nearly every US state and numerou
 s foreign countries regarding the interface of sexuality and intellectual 
 disability and has written numerous articles. \n\n*Registration will close
