 don is an educator\, advocate\, and a parent of a child with special needs
 . He has nearly 20 years experience working in schools. He has been a buil
 ding administrator\, where he has served as an LEA for hundreds of IEP mee
 tings. He has been a classroom teacher representative for dozens more. Dr.
  Herndon has been married to his wife\, Jenny\, for nearly 16 years\, and 
 they have four children\, one of whom sports an extra 21st chromosome! \n
 \n'Inclusion and Least Restrictive Environment:  How to make sure your IEP
  team talks about the issues that matter to you!'\n\nDescription: Knowledg
 e is power. Understanding the IEP gives parents leverage to ensure that th
 ey are valuable participants in making decisions for their child. Parents 
 will learn how to ask questions that will help their IEP teams focus on th
 e issues that matter most to them. \n\n\n*Registration will close Monday\,
  June 11th at 10am. Please contact Leah at janke@dsamidlands.org if you mi
 ss the deadline and would like to attend. \n**Childcare is not provided.
