 Title - Three behavioral health secrets for managing common behavioral cha
 llenges in raising children with Down Syndrome\n\nDescription -  We will s
 pend the first part of the talk discussing some basic principles that can 
 be helpful in managing common emotional and behavioral challenges confront
 ed in everyday life\, and then in the second part of the talk\, use those 
 principles to work through real-life problems offered by volunteers from t
 he audience who have issues they would like help with managing.\n\nSpeaker
  Bio -  \nKeith D Allen\, Ph.D.\, BCBA-D is the Director of Psychology and
  Professor in Pediatrics and Psychology at the Munroe-Meyer Institute and 
 the University of Nebraska Medical Center.  His clinical and research inte
 rests include developmental disabilities\, parent training\, pain and stre
 ss-related disorders in children\, and management of noncompliance with me
 dical/dental routines. He has published extensively on interventions to ad
 dress behavioral health problems in children and adolescents with disabili
 ties and he has published a book on the science and practice of parent tra
 ining.  He has been awarded research grants from NIH and the US Department
  of Education and has been recognized as both a Distinguished Researcher a
 nd as an Outstanding Teacher of the Year at the University of Nebraska Med
 ical Center. \n\n*Childcare is not provided.  With the exception of infant
