 iscuss common strengths and needs related to communication and offer ideas
  to support behavior in treatment. \n\nSpeaker - Jennifer Bekins\, MS\, CC
 C-SLP\nJennifer Bekins is the coordinator for speech-language pathology in
  the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and lead speech-l
 anguage pathologist with the nationally recognized Jane and Richard Thomas
  Center for Down Syndrome at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center
 . Jennifer has practiced since 2001 upon graduating from Loyola University
  Maryland. Her focus in children with Down syndrome includes feeding disor
 ders\, parent-child interaction\, and communication skills for life succes
 s. Jennifer blogs about her experiences as an SLP and sibling to a sister 
 and two brothers with Down syndrome at Talk-DS.org.\n\n**Registration will
  close Monday\, June 12th at 10:00am.\n***Childcare is not provided.  With
  the exception of infants\, we request that you refrain from bringing chil
 dren to this event.
