 ng held at the Community Engagement Center\, located on UNO's Dodge Street
  campus. See the map below for directions and help with parking. There is 
 reserved parking in the gated LOT E.*\n\nTitle - “What did you say?” Under
 standing speech in individuals with Down syndrome\nDo you ever wonder\, “W
 hy do some individuals with Down syndrome have clear speech and others don
 ’t?” or “What can I do to help my child talk?” This session will take an i
 n-depth look at the types of speech disorders that exist among children wi
 th Down syndrome and discuss evidence-based clinical treatment. Family-fri
 endly tools and activity suggestions will be provided throughout the sessi
 on.\n\nSpeaker - Jennifer Bekins\, MS\, CCC-SLP\nJennifer Bekins is the co
 ordinator for speech-language pathology in the Division of Developmental a
 nd Behavioral Pediatrics and lead speech-language pathologist with the nat
 ionally recognized Jane and Richard Thomas Center for Down Syndrome at Cin
 cinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Jennifer has practiced since 2
 001 upon graduating from Loyola University Maryland. Her focus in children
  with Down syndrome includes feeding disorders\, parent-child interaction\
 , and communication skills for life success. Jennifer blogs about her expe
 riences as an SLP and sibling to a sister and two brothers with Down syndr
 ome at Talk-DS.org.\n\n**Registration will close Monday\, June 12th at 10:
