 cation Series (DSES) is a monthly educational seminar for families of chil
 dren with Down syndrome\, designed to connect parents with information tha
 t will positively impact the education and well-being of their child.\n\nM

 ave undergone several significant changes\, and it is important that famil
 y\, caregivers\, and healthcare professionals understand how they can part
 icipate in ensuring a child with Down syndrome gets the best possible care
 . An explanation of the reasons for the most up-to-date recommendations wi
 ll be discussed and specific resources will be given including the parent 
 guidelines. Patient examples illustrating some of the critical issues will
  be presented\, as well as tools and techniques to help families navigate 
 the medical system. \n\nSpeaker Bio - \nDr. Marilyn Bull is a graduate of 
 the University of Michigan Medical School and continued her education with
  a pediatric residency at Children's Memorial Hospital of Chicago and a cl
 inical fellowship in Birth Defects and Genetic Counseling at Boston Floati
 ng Hospital. She has served on the faculty at the Indiana University Medic
 al Center since 1976 where she currently is the Morris Green Professor of 
 Pediatrics at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. Dr. Bull served as
  the director of the section of Developmental Pediatrics at Riley Hospital
  from 1982 until 2006. Her continuing administrative appointments include 
 director of the Down Syndrome Program and the Feeding Team as well as co-m
 edical director of the Automotive Safety Program. She has Board Certificat
 ion in Pediatrics\, Clinical Genetics and Neuro-developmental Disabilities
 . She is active in the American Academy of Pediatrics and currently serves
  on their Board of Directors. She was the lead author of the AAP Report: H
 ealth Supervision for Children with Down Syndrome.\n\n***Childcare is not
