 onal seminar for families of children with Down syndrome\, designed to con
 nect parents with information that will positively impact the education an

 k factors more common to this population.\n\nSpeaker Bio - \nI have been a
  Registered Dietitian since 1996. I worked with adults for a couple of yea
 rs after finishing school and then started working in pediatrics in the ye
 ar 2000 and have been working at Children’s Mercy the past 16+ years.  I h
 ave covered many different pediatric areas including general pediatric nut
 rition\, diabetes\, weight management\, cardiology\, renal\, failure to th
 rive and Down syndrome.  I currently work in a multidisciplinary Down synd
 rome clinic that includes a Medical Provider\, Occupational Therapist/Feed
 ing Therapist\, Behavioral Psychologist\, Speech Therapist\, Audiologist\,
  Social Worker\, Genetics Counselor\, and ENT doctor—I love this clinic be
 cause it provides “one stop shopping” for our families.  This clinic has a
 lso helped me grow as a professional\, as I have learned about many aspect
 s of the medical care/therapies that are needed for a child with Down synd
 rome.\n\n* Registration will close Monday\, April 17th at 8 am.\n**Childca
 re is not provided.  With the exception of infants\, we request that you r
 efrain from bringing children to this event.
