 herapists and administrators to develop a program that uses effective teac
 hing strategies and customized materials to support parents\, teachers and
  children in the educational process. The goal of The Learning Program is 
 to empower parents as advocates for their children and improve academic ou
 tcomes. The Learning Program complements formal instruction in literacy an
 d math\, and includes occupational and speech therapy components.\n\nThis 
 program is open to children ages 4-7 and their parents. The Learning Progr
 am Omaha meets one Saturday per month for 8 sessions and is limited to 12 
 families. During each hour and a half session\, children receive small gro
 up instruction with a focus on literacy\, numeracy\, fine motor skills and
  language development from special educators and therapists. Simultaneousl
 y in a separate classroom\, parents in the program receive instruction on 
 a wide range of topics such as 'Introduction to Literacy'\, 'Early Number 
 Concepts'\, and 'Teaching about Time'. At-home materials are distributed t
 o allow parents to reinforce the skills learned during the session at home
 . Teachers and therapists affiliated with the program receive information 
 about effective teaching strategies and cognitive\, developmental and educ
 ational research.\n\nThe cost of the program is $200 and you must commit t
 o you and your child attending all 8 sessions. The cost of the program cov
 ers all materials for the class and home\, along with the monthly sessions
 . You will receive 20 books from The Learning Program and The Learning Pro
 gram number line that are yours to keep.\n\nWe will also offer a parent on
 ly option for the lecture portion of the program. This still requires you 
 to commit to the full program\, but your child does not attend the class n
 or do they have to be the age of the class participants.  This is a great 
 opportunity for parents of younger children or older children who may stil
 l need help with reading / writing skills. The cost for this option is $10
 0. Materials are available to print online for free for parents who regist
 er for the parent only portion. \n\nEducators are welcome to attend any or
  all of the lecture portion of the program for free.\n\nClasses will be he
