 l seminar for families of children with Down syndrome\, designed to connec
 t parents with information that will positively impact the education and w
 ell-being of their child.\n\nVisual Strategies and Video Modeling:  Managi
 ng Behavior Through Visual Communication - \nFostering communication using
  visuals can expedite your child’s ability to truly understand and react t
 o situations in a positive manner.  From traditional methods to apps\, lea
 rn tips for several visual strategies using simple pictures\, if/then and 
 first/then statements\, choices\, visual schedules\, social stories\, and 
 video modeling.  This presentation can also help with more than just commu
 nication.  Whether your child/student is struggling with transitions\, aca
 demic skills\, self-help\, behavior\, social\, motor skills\, vocations\, 
 or even play\, this session is sure to be helpful to both educators and ca
 regivers.  Discussing research projects\, industry best practices\, and ex
 amples of success stories throughout\, Ms. Ellis will inspire you to think
  outside the box to “make it visual” and make some breakthroughs!\n\nSpeak
 er Bio - \nSusan Ellis is a national speaker\, author\, and co-creator of 
 the award winning handwriting program\, The TV Teacher. Designed for child
 ren with special needs\, Ms. Ellis’ program is used by parents\, teachers\
